Town of Parish accepting applications for vacancy on zoning board of appeals

LEGAL NOTICE

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, The Parish Town Board is accepting letters of interest and or resumes for the vacancy on the Parish Zoning Boards of Appeals. The position begins immediately and expires on 12/31/2025

Requirements for the position are attendance to all Zoning Boards of Appeals Meetings, participation with other Board Members for consideration of variances and other related issues. The Zoning Board of Appeals meets on an as needed basis and meets at 2938 E.

Main Street, Parish, NY in the Village Gym. There are 4 hours of training required for the Zoning Board of Appeals position each year.

Please send all letters of interest and or resumes to Town of Parish, PO Box 66, Parish, NY 13131. Letters of interest and or resumes must be delivered to the Clerk by February 14, 2024 no later than 4:00 pm.

Parish planning board meeting – Monday, June 5, 2023

The Parish planning board meeting of Monday, June 5, 2023, 6:30 p.m. (rescheduled from Monday, May 22) will be held at the Parish Village Gym, 2938 East Main Street, Parish, New York, and is open to the public.

Planning board public hearing – April 24, 2023

The Town-Village Planning Board will hold a public hearing on the following at 6:30pm on April 24, 2023 at the Parish Gym on Main Street Parish NY. 

Section 135. Procedural Waiver

Conveyances made so as to combine existing lots by deed or other instrument require planning board review. The planning board may waive the subdivision application and review procedure as provided for in this law if the planning board determines that the proposed subdivision is of minor significance. Such waiver shall be in writing, and shall include the following findings:

1. The proposed subdivision does not involve the creation of more than two lots.

2. The applicant has provided evidence acceptable to the planning board that all proposed lots conform to the requirements of the zoning law. Such evidence may consist of proposed deeds, plot plans or surveys of the lands included in the proposed subdivision, or of part of the lands included in the proposed subdivision where such part provides the planning board with evidence sufficient to make a determination.

3. The proposed subdivision has no negative environmental significance pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 617

Zoning board of appeals meeting – 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 27 – area variance – 248 St. Rt. 69A

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, The Parish Zoning Board of Appeals will meet on Tuesday September 27, 2022 at 6:30 PM at the Parish Village Gym for the purpose to hear the request for an area variance for the property owned by Patrick & Crystal Ford at 248 St. Rt. 69A (property resides in both the Town and Village of Parish). Tax ID: 191.00-01-08.02. The area variance request is for the purpose of building a garage.

Town of Parish meeting schedules — 2022

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, The Town of Parish Town Board will hold their Regular Monthly Meetings at 6:00 pm., the third Thursday of every month beginning January 20th, 2022.

The Parish Town Board will hold Joint Parish Town/Village Board Meetings, the 2nd Thursday in the months of March, June, September, and December beginning at 7:00 pm.

The Parish Town Board will hold monthly workshops the 4th Thursday of every month beginning at 6:00 pm as needed.

The Parish Joint Planning Board will meet the 4th Monday of every month beginning at 6:30 pm. 

Zoning Board of Appeals Meetings will be held as needed.

All meetings or workshops will be held at 2938 E. Main Street in the Village Gym, Parish, NY 13131.

All meetings and workshops will be held on the dates and times specified above unless otherwise specified.

THE PUBLIC IS INVITED TO ATTEND.

Zoning Board Alternate Position Vacancy

Please take notice, the Parish Town Board is accepting resumes and or letters of interest for the position of an Alternate to the Parish Joint Zoning Board of Appeals. The Alternate Zoning Board Position requires that you fill in if a temporary absence occurs or if a conflict of interest arises on the Joint ZBA.

All Zoning Board of Appeals Alternates are required to fulfill at least 4 hours of training annually and are welcome to attend all Zoning Board Appeals Meetings. Zoning Board of Appeals Alternates participate in consideration of interpretation of any determinations of the Town’s ZEO, Area Variances, Use Variances, and any other related matters. The ZBA meets on an as needed basis and meetings are held at 2938 E. Main Street Parish, NY in the Village Gym unless other wise specified.

LEGAL NOTICE – Zoning Board of Appeals public hearing, 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2021

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, The Parish Joint ZBA will hold a Public Hearing on October 20, 2021 at 2938 E. Main Street in the Village Gym, Parish, NY. The Public Hearing will begin at 6:00 pm.

The purpose of the Public Hearing is to here all comments or concerns regarding an Area Variance request. The property is located at 805 County Rte 26 in the Town of Parish owned by Stephen and Deborah Buck. Tax Map #-211.00-01-02.
