Notice of Receipt of Tax Roll & Warrant

Please Take Notice, that I, Kevin A. Dwyer the undersigned Collector of Taxes in the Town of Parish, County of Oswego, State of New York pending receipt of the Tax Roll and Warrant, from Oswego County, for the collection of taxes within the Town of Parish for the year 2021. I will receive taxes from January 4th, 2021 through March 31st, 2021. Due to COVID-19, payment can be made by check, money order or Cashier’s Check (in lieu of cash).  Please make checks or money order payable to Parish Tax Collector and mail to Parish Tax Collector, PO Box 66, Parish, NY 13131. Please use the Drop Box to the left side of  entrance to the building, if payment is not sent by US Mail.

No in person payments will be accepted.
Please Take  Further Notice that taxes may be paid on or before January 31st, 2021 without interest or penalty. Collections received from February 1st, 2021 through February 28th, 2021 will be assessed a 1% penalty.  Collections received from March 1st, 2021 to March 31st, 2021 will be assessed a 2% penalty.  If taxes are unpaid as of March 15th, 2021 and a Second Notice of Taxes Due is processed, an additional charge of $2.00 will be levied and will become part of the amount  due.  This surcharge must be paid in order for the collector to accept your taxes.  If a receipt is required the entire bill must be returned with payment. No postdated checks will be accepted.  Checks must be made out for the correct amount and payable only to the Parish Tax Collector or they will be returned.

Parish Town Board public hearing and regular December meeting to be offfered via Zoom, Thursday, December 17, 2020, starting at 6:00 p.m.

Due to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Emergency, and pursuant to Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order 202.1 issued on March 12, 2020 suspending the Open Meetings Law and subsequent Executive Orders, the Parish Town Board will conduct its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, December 17, 2020. The town board will conduct a public hearing at 6:00 p.m.:

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, The Parish Town Board will hold a Public Hearing on December 17th 2020 at 2938 E. Main Street, Parish, NY in the Village Gym beginning at 6:00 p.m.

The purpose of the Public Hearing is to discuss the purchase of a new plow truck for the Parish Highway Department and USDA Community/ Facilities Loan/Grant Financing. Please email jay@ggprocess.com with any questions.

Town accepting applications for seasonal highway wing operators

The Town of Parish is accepting applications and or resumes for Seasonal Wing Operator Positions beginning December 1st, 2020 through April 30th, 2021.

All applicants should live within 15-20 minutes from the Parish Highway Department.

All interested applicants should send a letter of interest and or resumes to Town of Parish, PO Box 66, Parish, NY 13131. Attention: Craig Petit, Parish Highway Superintendent.
