Public notice – 2024 preliminary budget public hearing and special town board meeting

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, the Parish Town Board will hold a Public Hearing on October 26, 2023 at 2938 E. Main Street, Parish NY in the Village Gym beginning at 6:30 pm. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to hear all comments regarding the 2024 Preliminary Budget.

A Special Meeting will be held immediate following the Public Hearing for consideration of amending or adopting the 2024 Budget.

Copies of the 2024 Preliminary Budget will be available for inspection prior to the Public Hearing at the Town Clerk’s Office during regular business hours.

PURSUANT TO SECTION 113 OF TOWN LAW, the proposed salaries of the following Town Officers are as follows:

Supervisor $17,000.00
Town Clerk $26,000.00
Councilman (4) each $4,500.00
Town Justice $16,000.00
Tax Collector $4,000.00
Hwy Sup’t $50,000.00

LEGAL NOTICE

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, the Parish Town Board will hold the following workshops for the 2024 Budget.

October 5th, 2023, October 12, 2023, and October 26, 2023 beginning at 6:30 pm. All workshops will be held at 2938 E. Main Street, Parish, NY in the Village Gym.

Public notice – 2023 tax collection

PUBLIC NOTICE

Please take Notice, that I, Kevin A. Dwyer, Tax Collector for the Town of Parish, County of Oswego, State of New York, have duly received the tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes within the Town of Parish for the year 2023.  I will be collecting taxes at 2938 E. Main St. in said Town of Parish, for the purpose of receiving taxes listed on said roll, beginning January 3 and ending March 31, 2023 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am to 6 pm.

Take further notice that taxes may be paid or postmarked on or before January 31, 2023 without charge of interest.  On all taxes received after that date, there shall be added 1% interest for each additional month until such taxes are returned to the Oswego County Treasurer’s Office.

Please pay by check, money order or have the exact amount if paying by cash.  Credit cards are not accepted at this time.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN; The Parish Town Board will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 2938 E. Main Street, Parish, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The purpose of the Public Hearing is to hear all comments regarding the 2023 Preliminary Budget.

Copies of the 2023 Preliminary Budget will be available for inspection prior to the hearing at the Town Clerk’s Office during regular business hours.

Senior citizen tax exemption public hearing, Thursday, October 20, 2022, 6:15 p.m.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, The Parish Town Board will hold a Public Hearing on October 20, 2022 at 2938 E. Main Street, Parish NY beginning at 6:15 pm. The purpose of the Public Hearing is for consideration of amending Local Law #1 of 1995 raising the exemption for persons 65 years of age or over pursuant to §467 of the Real Property Law.

The proposed amendment, Local Law #1 of 2022 would raise the current exemption limit from $12,500 to an exemption limit of $13,500.00-$19,200.00 using a sliding scale.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE,  the Parish Town Board will hold a Special Meeting on May 11, 2022 at 2938 E. Main Street, Parish, NY in the Village Gym beginning at 5:30 pm. The purpose of the Special Meeting is for consideration of adoption of a Bond Resolution authorizing the issuance of Serial Bonds, A Statutory Installment, Bond or an Installment Purchase Agreement for the purchase of a 2021 Western Star 4700SF Plow Truck for an amount not to exceed $240,000.00.

THE MEETING IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
