Public notice – Parish town board meeting schedule 2023

Please take notice, the Parish Town Board will hold their Regular Monthly Meetings on the third Thursday of every month beginning at 6:30 pm. The Town Board will also hold Workshops on the fourth Thursday of each month beginning at 6:30 pm if needed.

All meetings and workshops will be held at 2938 E. Main Street, Parish, NY in the Village Gym and will begin at 6:30 pm unless otherwise advertised and specified.

Public notice – 2023 tax collection

PUBLIC NOTICE

Please take Notice, that I, Kevin A. Dwyer, Tax Collector for the Town of Parish, County of Oswego, State of New York, have duly received the tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes within the Town of Parish for the year 2023.  I will be collecting taxes at 2938 E. Main St. in said Town of Parish, for the purpose of receiving taxes listed on said roll, beginning January 3 and ending March 31, 2023 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am to 6 pm.

Take further notice that taxes may be paid or postmarked on or before January 31, 2023 without charge of interest.  On all taxes received after that date, there shall be added 1% interest for each additional month until such taxes are returned to the Oswego County Treasurer’s Office.

Please pay by check, money order or have the exact amount if paying by cash.  Credit cards are not accepted at this time.

Town of Parish Highway accepting applications for Seasonal Wing Operator positions

ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR SEASONAL HWY WING OPERATORS

The Town of Parish is accepting applications and or resumes for Seasonal Wing Operator Positions.

All applicants should live within 15-20 minutes from the Parish Highway Dept.

All interested applicants should send a letter of interest and or resumes to Town of Parish, PO Box 66, Parish, NY 13131. Attention: George Horning, Parish Highway Sup’t.  Also the Hwy Sup’t can be reached by calling 315-706-9392.

Legal notice – public hearing December 28, 2022 5:00 p.m. re proposed Local Law #1 of 2023

LEGAL NOTICE

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, the Parish Town Board will hold a Public Hearing on December 28, 2022 beginning at 5:00 pm to be held at 2938 E. Main Street, Parish, NY in the Village Gym.

The purpose of the Public Hearing is for the Parish Town Board to hear all comments and concerns regarding Local Law #1 of 2023.  The proposed local law is for the administration and enforcement of the New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Bldg Code (the Uniform Code) and the Energy Conservation Construction Code (the Energy Code) for the Town of Parish.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, the Parish Town Board will hold a Special/Year End Meeting immediately following the Public Hearing. The purpose of the Special Meeting/Year End Meeting is for consideration of passing local law #1 of 2023 and to address any and all business that becomes before the Board.

Seasonal roads in town of Parish not maintained December 1, 2022 – April 1, 2023

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, Seasonal Roads in the Town of Parish, such as Happy Valley Road, White Hill Road and sections of Saint Mary’s Roads, Church Hill Road, and Chapman Road will not be maintained from December 1st, 2022 to April 1st, 2023.
