Zoning Board Alternate Position Vacancy

Please take notice, the Parish Town Board is accepting resumes and or letters of interest for the position of an Alternate to the Parish Joint Zoning Board of Appeals. The Alternate Zoning Board Position requires that you fill in if a temporary absence occurs or if a conflict of interest arises on the Joint ZBA.

All Zoning Board of Appeals Alternates are required to fulfill at least 4 hours of training annually and are welcome to attend all Zoning Board Appeals Meetings. Zoning Board of Appeals Alternates participate in consideration of interpretation of any determinations of the ZEO, Area Variances, Use Variances, and any other related matters. The ZBA meets on an as needed basis and meetings are held at 2938 E. Main Street Parish, NY in the Village Gym unless other wise specified.

Parish town board regular meeting schedule for 2021

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE: The Parish Town Board will hold their Regular Monthly Meetings at 6:30 pm. the third Thursday of every month beginning January 21st 2021.

The Parish Town Board will hold Joint Parish Town/Village Meetings the 2nd Thursday of the months of March, June, September, and December beginning at 7:00 pm.

The Parish Town Board will hold monthly workshops the 4th Thursday of every month beginning 6:30 pm as needed.

All Meetings or workshops will be held at 2938 E. Main Street in the Village Gym, Parish, NY. All Meetings and Workshops will be held on the dates and times specified above unless otherwise specified and advertised.

THE PUBLIC IS INVITED TO ATTEND.

Parish town board meeting 6:30 p.m. Thursday, January 21, 2021 to be held via Zoom

Due to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Emergency, and pursuant to Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order 202.1 issued on March 12, 2020 suspending the Open Meetings Law and subsequent Executive Orders, the Parish Town Board will conduct its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, January 21, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom.

Due to COVID-19, the village gym was closed to the public effective Monday, December 14, 2020 until further notice, and therefore this meeting will not be open to the public in person. The meeting will be available electronically, via Zoom teleconference.

Tax collector – Notice of receipt of tax roll and warrant – 2021 taxes

Notice of Receipt of Tax Roll & Warrant

Please Take Notice, that I, Kevin A. Dwyer the undersigned Collector of Taxes in the Town of Parish, County of Oswego, State of New York pending receipt of the Tax Roll and Warrant, from Oswego County, for the collection of taxes within the Town of Parish for the year 2021. I will receive taxes from January 4th, 2021 through March 31st, 2021. Due to COVID-19, payment can be made by check, money order or Cashier’s Check (in lieu of cash).  Please make checks or money order payable to Parish Tax Collector and mail to Parish Tax Collector, PO Box 66, Parish, NY 13131. Please use the Drop Box to the left side of  entrance to the building, if payment is not sent by US Mail.

No in person payments will be accepted.
Please Take  Further Notice that taxes may be paid on or before January 31st, 2021 without interest or penalty. Collections received from February 1st, 2021 through February 28th, 2021 will be assessed a 1% penalty.  Collections received from March 1st, 2021 to March 31st, 2021 will be assessed a 2% penalty.  If taxes are unpaid as of March 15th, 2021 and a Second Notice of Taxes Due is processed, an additional charge of $2.00 will be levied and will become part of the amount  due.  This surcharge must be paid in order for the collector to accept your taxes.  If a receipt is required the entire bill must be returned with payment. No postdated checks will be accepted.  Checks must be made out for the correct amount and payable only to the Parish Tax Collector or they will be returned.
