Legal Notice — Notice of Receipt of Tax Roll & Warrant

Please Take Notice, that I, Kevin A. Dwyer the undersigned Collector of Taxes in the Town of Parish, County of Oswego, State of New York have duly received the Tax Roll and Warrant for the collection of taxes within the Town of Parish for the year 2020. I will receive taxes from January 2nd, 2020 through March 31st, 2020. I will collect  at the Village/Town Hall located at 2938 E. Main Street, Parish, NY during the following hours: Tuesday and Thursdays-10am-6pm , January, February and March. During the month of January-Friday hours will be available 2pm-6pm.


Payment can be made by check, money order and cash-only exact change will be accepted.  Change cannot be made. Please make check or money order out to Parish Tax Collector and mail to Parish Tax Collector, PO Box 66, Parish, NY 13131.

Please Take  Further Notice that taxes may be paid on or before January 31st, 2020 without interest or penalty. Collections received from February 1st, 2020 through February 28th, 2020, there will be a 1% penalty assessed.  Collections received from March 1st, 2020 to March 31st, 2020, there will be a 2% penalty assessed. If taxes are unpaid as of March 15th, 2020, and a Second Notice of Taxes is Due is processed, an additional charge of $2.00 will be levied and will become part of the amount due.

This surcharge must be paid in order for the collector to accept your taxes.

If a receipt is required the entire bill must be returned with payment. No postdated checks will be accepted and checks must be made out for the correct amount or they will be returned.

Parish town board to hold special meeting Thursday, December 26 at 7:00 p.m.

NOTICE OF MEETING

The Parish Town Board will hold a special town board meeting on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the Parish Village Gym, 2938 East Main Street, Parish, New York for the purpose of considering issues pertaining to the membership of the Assessment Board of Review, and such other business as may properly be brought before the board.

Parish Zoning Board of Appeals to hold public hearing Tuesday, November 12, 2019 – 748 Rider Street, Parish

There will be a public hearing to be held on November 12, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the Town Hall located at 2938 East Main Street, Parish with the Zoning Board of Appeals to discuss an application for an area variance for a setback on the property located at 784 Rider Street, Parish, for a New Wireless Telecommuting Facility for Tillman Infrastructure. All those interested are welcome to attend.

LEGAL NOTICE — Public hearing, special town board meeting November 14, 2019

            PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, The Parish Town Board will hold a Public Hearing on November 14th, 2019 to be held at 2938 E. Main Street, Parish, NY in the Village Gym beginning at 6:30 pm.

            The purpose of the Public Hearing is to address all comments, concerns, and questions regarding passing Local Law #2 of 2019 authorizing the Parish Town Board to exceed the tax levy limit for the Town’s 2020 Budget under GMC 3-C.

            Copies of the proposed local law are on file at the Town Clerk’s Office and are available for inspection during normal Town Clerk’s Office hours.

            The Town Board will hold a Special Meeting immediately following the Public Hearing to consider adoption of Local Law #2 of 2020 authorizing the Town of Parish to exceed the Tax Cap Limit for the 2020 Town Budget and to consider adoption or amending the 2020 Preliminary Budget as the Town of Parish’s 2020 Final Budget.
