Notice — Planning Board Alternate Position Vacancy

Please take notice the Parish Town Board is accepting resumes and or letters of interest for the position of an Alternate to the Parish Planning Board. The Alternate Planning Board Position requires that you fill in if a temporary absence occurs or if a conflict of interest arises on the Parish Joint Planning Board.

All Planning Board Alternates are required to fulfill at least 4 hours of training annually and are welcome to attend all Planning Board Meetings. Planning Board Members/Alternates participate in consideration for site plans, subdivisions, zoning, and other related matters. The Planning Board meets the 4th Monday of every month beginning at 6:30 pm. at 2938 E. Main Street, Parish, NY in the Village Gym unless other wise specified.

Legal Notice – Zoning Board of Appeals vacancy

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, The Parish Town Board is accepting letters of interest and or resumes for the vacancy on the Parish Zoning Boards of Appeals. The position begins immediately and expires on December 31st, 22

Requirements for the position are attendance to all Zoning Boards of Appeals Meetings, participation with other Board Members for consideration of variances and other related issues. The Zoning Board of Appeals meets on an as needed basis and meets at 2938 E.

Main Street, Parish, NY in the Village Gym. There are 4 hours of training required for the Zoning Board of Appeals position each year.

Public Meetings — Town Board 2020

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, The Parish Town Board will hold their Regular Town Board Meetings on the third Thursday of every month beginning at 6:30 pm.

Town Board will hold workshops on the 4th Thursday of every month as needed

Joint/Village/Town Board Meetings will be held quarterly on the 2nd Thursday of the months of March, June, September, and December unless otherwise advertised beginning at 7:00 pm.

All meetings will be held at 2938 E. Main Street, Parish, NY in the Village Gym unless otherwise advertised.

Legal Notice — Notice of Receipt of Tax Roll & Warrant

Please Take Notice, that I, Kevin A. Dwyer the undersigned Collector of Taxes in the Town of Parish, County of Oswego, State of New York have duly received the Tax Roll and Warrant for the collection of taxes within the Town of Parish for the year 2020. I will receive taxes from January 2nd, 2020 through March 31st, 2020. I will collect  at the Village/Town Hall located at 2938 E. Main Street, Parish, NY during the following hours: Tuesday and Thursdays-10am-6pm , January, February and March. During the month of January-Friday hours will be available 2pm-6pm.


Payment can be made by check, money order and cash-only exact change will be accepted.  Change cannot be made. Please make check or money order out to Parish Tax Collector and mail to Parish Tax Collector, PO Box 66, Parish, NY 13131.

Please Take  Further Notice that taxes may be paid on or before January 31st, 2020 without interest or penalty. Collections received from February 1st, 2020 through February 28th, 2020, there will be a 1% penalty assessed.  Collections received from March 1st, 2020 to March 31st, 2020, there will be a 2% penalty assessed. If taxes are unpaid as of March 15th, 2020, and a Second Notice of Taxes is Due is processed, an additional charge of $2.00 will be levied and will become part of the amount due.

This surcharge must be paid in order for the collector to accept your taxes.

If a receipt is required the entire bill must be returned with payment. No postdated checks will be accepted and checks must be made out for the correct amount or they will be returned.

Request for proposals – Town of Parish Highway Department Building Repairs and Improvements

The town wishes to contract for engineering and/or architectural consultant services to assist in scoping repairs needed to the highway barn, prepare cost estimates of anticipated costs and to help the town prepare for a USDA Rural Development Community Facilities program application and other grant and financing opportunities. For further information, please see the RFP. Consultants should submit proposals by January 17, 2020

NOTICE OF MEETING

The Parish Town Board will hold a special town board meeting on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the Parish Village Gym, 2938 East Main Street, Parish, New York for the purpose of considering issues pertaining to the membership of the Assessment Board of Review, and such other business as may properly be brought before the board.
