Parish Town Board August special meeting via Zoom, Thursday, August 27, 2020, 6:30 p.m.

Due to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Emergency, and pursuant to Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order 202.1 issued on March 12, 2020 suspending the Open Meetings Law and subsequent Executive Orders, the Parish Town Board has scheduled a Zoom Meeting for Thursday, August 27, 2020, to be held electronically via Zoom teleconference. The Zoom meeting will begin at 6:30 pm or shortly after.

Legal Notice — Public hearing on cable television franchise agreement, 6:15 p.m., Thursday, September 10, 2020

For approval of Cable Television Agreement between Spectrum Northeast LLC and the Town of Parish.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, the Parish Town Board will hold a Public Hearing on September 10th, 2020 at 6:15 pm at 2938 E. Main Street, Parish, NY in the Village Gym or by Zoom regarding granting a cable television franchise agreement by and between the Town of Parish and Spectrum Northeast LLC, l/k/a Charter Communications.

A copy of the agreement is available for public inspection during normal business hours at the Parish Town Clerk’s Office, 2938 E. Main Street, Parish, NY. At such public hearing, all persons will be given an opportunity to be heard. Written and oral statements will be taken at that time. Time limitations may be imposed for each oral statement, if necessary.

Legal Notice — Solar Moratorium Public Hearing 6:00 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2020

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that there has been presented to the Town Board of the Town of Parish, New York, a proposed local law enacting an extension of a temporary six (6) month Moratorium on free-standing solar panel installations with the Town of Parish.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE, the Parish Town Board will hold a Public Hearing on the proposed local law #1 of 2020 to be held by video conference or at 2938 E. Main Street, Parish, NY on 9/10//2020 at 6:00 pm. The public can submit questions and comments in writing in advance of the hearing and meeting by US Mail or e-mail to the Town Parish Town Clerk at townclerk@parish-ny.us. Instructions for calling in to listen to the meeting will be available on the Town’s website at townofparish-ny.us. In the event the Corona Pandemic has been resolved by such time, the public hearing will be held at the Parish Town Hall at 2938 E. Main Street, Parish, NY 13131 on such time and date.

The proposed Local Law entitled“ A Local Law Enacting an Extension of a Temporary six (6) Month Moratorium on Free Standing Solar Panel Installation within the Town of Parish”, authorized under Local Law No. 1 of 2020.

Parish Community Clean-up Day — Saturday, August 29, 2020

Parish has scheduled their Annual Community Clean-up Day on August 29th, 2020 at the  Parish Highway Garage located at 25 Dill Pickle Alley, Parish NY from 7:30 am – 11:30 am.  A fee will be charged for any appliance brought for disposal that contains Freon. Tires (up to 8)  will be accepted off rims.

NO HOUSEHOLD TRASH will be accepted.

No paint cans or hazardous waste will be accepted.
