PARISH APPROVES WATER DISTRICT
In a referendum vote, a ballot proposition to establish a Water District No. 1 was approved on Tuesday, November 13, 2018. 451 postcards were sent out to the proposed district area, with five returned as undeliverable. 205 turned out to vote in the referendum, with 135 in favor, 69 opposed, and one ballot returned without a vote.
The Parish Town Board is advertising for a vacancy on the Assessment Board of Review. The term is a 5 year term and will begin immediately and will expire on September 30th, 2023. Assessment Board of Review Members are required to attend classes offered annually regarding the grievance process.
The responsibilities of an Assessment Board of Review Member is to attend Grievance Procedure on the 4th Tuesday in May and hear all grievance complaints brought before the Board to determine if the assessment should be changed.

Town of Parish Notice of Completion of the Tentative Assessment Roll
Notice is hereby given that the Assessor of the Town of Parish, County of Oswego, has completed the tentative assessment roll for the current year and that a copy has been filed with Kelly Reader, Parish Town Clerk at 2938 E. Main Street, Parish, NY where it may be seen and examined by any interested person until May 31, 2018.
The Assessor will be in attendance with the tentative assessment roll at the Assessor's Office located at 2938 E. Main Street, Parish, NY on May, 4, 2018 between the hours of 10:00 am- 2:00 pm ., on May 9, 2018 between the hours of 10:00 am- 2:00 pm., on May 12, 2018 between the hours of 10:00AM-2:00PM, and on May 16, 2018 between the hours of 4:00PM-8:00PM .
The Assessor has the authority to stipulate assessment adjustments prior to Grievance Day.
The Board of Assessment Review will convene on May 22, 2018 between the hours of 5 pm,-9 pm, at 2938 E. Main Street, Parish, NY in said town to hear and examine all complaints in relation to assessments, on the written application of any person believing himself to be aggrieved. Anyone filing a grievance is encouraged to have the application complete prior to Grievance Day.
Pursuant to Article 41, Section 1660, Paragraph 11 of the New York State and Traffic Law, all Town Roads in the Town of Parish, County of Oswego are temporarily limited to tonnage not to exceed more than (5) tons per axle beginning March 1st, 2018 and ending May 31st, 2018 or until signs are removed.

The Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ending 2017 for the Town of Parish is on file in the Parish Town Clerk’s Office located at 2938 East Main Street, Parish NY in the Village Gym, and is available during regular business hours for inspection.
The Parish Town Board has scheduled the Town of Parish’s Regular Meeting dates on the third Thursday of every month beginning at 6:30 p.m. The meetings will be held at the Village Gym located at 2938 East Main Street, Parish, New York unless otherwise advertised.
The Parish Town Board has scheduled monthly workshops on the fourth Thursday of every month at 6:30 p.m. as needed. The workshops will be held at the Village Gym located at 2938 East Main Street, Parish, New York.
The Parish Town Board has scheduled Joint Meetings in conjunction with the Village Board on the second Thursday in the months of March, June, September, and December beginning at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise advertised. The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, December 13. The Joint Meetings will be held at the Village Gym located at 2938 E. Main Street, Parish, NY.
Copies of the 2019 Preliminary Budget are available for inspection prior to the hearing at the Town Clerk’s Office during regular business hours.
PURSUANT TO SECTION 113 OF TOWN LAW, the proposed salaries of the following Town Officers are as follows:
- Supervisor - $16,000.00
- Town Clerk - $21,000.00
- Councilman (4) each - $4,000.00
- Town Justice - $15,000.00
- Tax Collector - $4,000.00
- Highway Sup’t - $44,000.00

Minutes of the Parish planning board for October 2018 have been posted to the Documents page.The Parish Town Board is accepting letters of interest and or resumes for the vacancy on the Parish Joint Planning Board. The position begins on January 1, 2019 and expires on 12/31/2023 and is a 5 yr. term.
Requirements for the position are attendance at all Planning Board Meetings, participation with other Board Members for consideration of site plans, subdivisions zoning, and other related issues. The Planning Board meets the 4th Monday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at 2938 E. Main Street, Parish, NY in the Village Gym unless otherwise specified. There are 4 hours of training required for the Parish Planning Board each year.
